About Ethan
My Story
I have been writing since the age of 11. I wrote several short stories, never truly starting a full-blown novel. My Dad started me off by setting the example of writing a few books himself. I was inspired, and decided to start my own. As a young boy, it was difficult for me to sit down and concentrate on anything, but yet, in 2018 I finished my first book, a short story of less than 100 pages, just in time for my birthday. Eventually, I decided I wanted to write a full novel. All before this time I had been writing short stories, no more than 100 pages. Now, I was going to write a big novel, like all those authors I loved. December, 2020, I finished the book. I started writing the sequel and finally in July of 2022 the Agitators Trilogy was brought to a close.
After much research, I was able to publish my first non-fiction book, Nametags for an ambitious school project, which turned out really well, and may have opened the door for other projects. I also keep multiple secret books in my back pocket to play with. So stay tuned!

Personal Life
I was born in Santa Barbra County, California. Until about the time of age 9 I lived in a little town called Buellton, fifteen minutes out of Solvang. After the age of 9 I moved every couple years, ending up in Utah.
Outside of writing, I enjoy making movies and acting. I haven’t made many projects in the way of movies, but I have acted in a few plays in local live theater. Young Ebenezer in A Christmas Carol, Beast in Beauty and the Beast, Teddy Roosevelt in Newsies, Mayor Shinn in Music Man and most recently, Fred in A Christmas Carol once again. I love to sing and act, and love the comradery created over the time and the stress of putting on a play. I have actually once been in a music video with the title of Barricade. Other than that, I have not yet had the ability to act on camera.
Here’s the crazy part. One of my favorite things to do is almost equally as crazy as writing books. While I am not writing I am running. I run both cross country and track.
I also enjoy playing guitar and am semi-fluent in Spanish, although… don’t ask me to say anything.

Interested in Writing?
Now, last but now least, I highly encourage anyone to write a book. According to writer Joseph Epstein, “81 percent of Americans feel that they have a book in them — and should write it.” That’s approximately 200 million people who aspire to authorship. Fun fact, most don’t. Writing a book seems like a daunting task, and some times it can be, but hey, look at me. I squint at the sun just like you. I put my pants on one leg at a time. (Trust me, I’ve tried different.) So, consider writing a book! I would love to hear from you! My favorite thing ever is when aspiring authors ask questions and open their minds! Maybe one day I’ll see your name on my shelf.
